Aseptic Pharmacy Technician Needed!
Job Description
Full time position available, flexible schedule with occasional Saturday requirement. Hours of Lab run 7am-10pm Monday-Friday. Full Benefit package including generous PTO, medical, dental, FSA, 401(k), profit share, life, ADD and LTD.
Primary Job Duty:
* Prepare aseptic medications under the direction of a pharmacist. Measure and mix formulations according to physician prescriptions
Technician will also be required to:
Sterilize all bulk sterile products using autoclave sterilization and/or filtration sterilizatiion according to company policies and procedures under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Package all bulk sterile products into final containers using good aseptic techniquunder the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Learn and adhere to good aseptic practices according to company policies and procedures when working in the cleanroom complex.
Maintain all systems for production, quality control, and documentation of sterile products.
Provide regular feedback to supervising pharmacist / team leader on ways to improve systems for production, quality control, and safety.
Identify and recommend improvements to sterile product formulations in order to increase packaging efficiency and consistency while maintaining the highest level of quality.
Implement and maintain systems for training new compounding staff in proper aseptic technique, sterilization procedures, and aseptic packaging.
Assist other compounding team members in meeting production demands, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Follow all policies and procedures and recommend any improvements.
Support all facets of operations as necessary to ensure high quality customer service, safety, and effective workflow within the organization.
***All aseptic packaging technicians will give the highest level of attention to products they are packaging and remain constantly focused while they are packaging in order to ensure high quality products and maintain a safe working environment for themselves and others*
Job Requirements
Prolonged standing.
Continuous, concentrated mental and visual effort to plan and perform work.
Work involves slight physical risks that require following basic safety precautions.
High School Diploma or GED.
Prior related working experience and/or Pharmacy Technician Certification
****Must be registered with the state of New Jersey as a pharmacy technician**
